Grace and Truth

Grace and...

John 1:14 (NIV)  "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

We strive to be like Jesus and to have Him transform us increasingly into people of grace. Unlike Jesus, we may lack clarity on any number of questions. As His disciples, we dialog with others to seek better, more informed Biblical approaches to such topics. Rather than criticize, ridicule, or diminish those who think and live differently than us, we wish to demonstrate kindness toward others. However, not at the expense of denying...

Truth.

John 14:6  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus is Truth. He is the Living Word. In situations that the truth has already been declared, we want to share it to benefit all concerned. It may be uncomfortable, but it is never uncouth. Jesus was quite direct and confrontational at times. But more often He taught through teachable moments, use of parables, and probing questions.
